The Alice Baker Library offers summer reading programs for 0 - ? The programs kick off for all ages on Saturday, June 7. Or feel free to stop in any time after Saturday to sign up. There is a calendar with children/teen activities and also an adult summer brochure that may be picked up in the library if your child did not receive a school visit. Some programs require registration in advance while others are drop-in. The activites will also be publicized in local newspapers and on the library web site at http://www.alicebaker.lib.wi.us.
I came across The Reading Womb blog when I was looking for interesting information related to the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Do you have a child between the ages of 0 - 6 years old? Stop in the library and ask any librarian about this program.
Wisconsin Author Kathleen Ernst visited Eagle On Wednesday, March 26. She did a book talk on her first four Chloe Ellefson Historic Sites mysteries and previewed her next book, Tradition of Deceit, expected to release in November 2014.
