Maeve Binchy was a former teacher and journalist and didn't write her first novel until she was 42 years old. She was one of the most popular authors of contemporary Irish literature. She passed away yesterday at 72 years old. She wrote many best sellers and her 18th book will release later this year. She was loved by many and will be missed.
